Railroad Days expanded this year. Lauritzen Gardens, The Durham Museum, The General Dodge House, The Union Pacific Railroad Museum and the Rails West Museum joined together to celebrate the area's railroad heritage.
As you head west, across the Missouri River, on Interstate 80 you'll see Kenefick Park. This likely the final resting place for these retired Union Pacific engines. Kenefick Park is on the South end of Lauritzen Gardens.

Several model railroad groups participated in Railroad days. There were portable or permanent displays at all of the locations.
The outdoor garden railway is a major attraction at Lauritzen Gardens.
Many of the buildings on the garden railway are modelled after Omaha landmarks. This is a very small Union Station.
